As a farmer's wife I found a new way of life running my own business.
It was a business that originated from our farmhouse kitchen in 1988, producing Patés and Pork pies.
In no time at all it adorned the shelves in all the most prestigious Delicatessens, and was sold exclusively for Harrods Charcouterie. Then national television coverage, with a programme producing how our business worked from "Heart of the Country" Corporate hampers filled with our own handmade products supplied many major companies for gifts at Christmas time.
I continued to work with food for many years, until realising my passion for designing and creating sugarflowers. Having made several celebration cakes for family and friends, I was then persuaded to start my business. Julie Couture Cakes was established.
